Work on filling in the main tunnel with concrete is almost complete, having removed the best part of 20 tonnes of rocks and soil which had fallen from the tunnel roof, having been loosened up by tree roots. Although the final concrete pour should have been completed on Friday, 11 April 2025, a minor blow out and small loss of concrete means that a further (final) concrete pour will take place on Thursday, 17 April 2025. The scaffolding is then due to be taken down and waste materials removed shortly afterwards, followed by repair of the fencing and further clearing up of the site. Hopefully completed by the end of April.
The main phase of the cliff works is expected to start in September 2025, when work will start on netting the cliff face, once the holiday season is over.
